Antonio Lopez and Nathan Seymour of Tiger&Bunny

So this was my first collage and a learning experience in a lot of ways. It really set up the "look" of my collages - the chibi style was inspired by games like Animal Crossing, Paper Mario, and Cooking Mama and papercraft companies like the Greeting Farm. It makes for very simple faces but rather complex and incredibly tiny bits of clothing. I suppose this is a time where cuteness wins out over practicality.

And it does have some pretty cool elements for being my first time. I'm most proud of the feathers on Nathan's collar. Yes, real feathers glued down to cardstock. I found that leaving the stalk intact made the whole process cleaner and easier. As for Antonio, I'm glad I went the extra mile and added flocking to the trim of his jacket. Both techniques are made much easier when using a Xyron sticker maker - because it applies adhesive to the entire surface, you never miss a spot.

Much to my amusement, I got a lot of praise for the mock Fire & Bison logo I created pretty late in the process.

You can see more of this collage in the Collage Gallery.
