Kuja of Final Fantasy IX

Kuja was done for my dear "patron" (so called since she has bought lots of stuff from me), Toffee. She loves the character to bits and I wanted to do my best to do right by him. Somehow, "doing right" ended up equaling "make him sparkle like crazy."

So the most interesting technique used was the application of glimmer mist to certain pieces to add shimmer and color in a gradient fashion. While I do like the end result, I would probably do all of his hair in that style if I was ever to redo him. I think it would look better than the partial version seen here. The other thing I would redo would be the boots. Even if they gave me such a headache the first time.

His clothing is decorated with tiny rhinestones to recreate the decorations seen in-game. The orbs received a double-dose of sparkle having been cut out of pearlized cardstock and then coated in iridescent glitter.
